The Orchestra da Camera Oscura in April 2008 accompanied at the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam a very unique film: The Merry Widow (1925) by the renowned director Erich von Stroheim. Film score is partially based on the unforgettable music of Franz Lehar (with permission of the Léhar-estate), with next – out of respect for – and in imitation of Erich von Stroheim, some personal touches of composer Maud Nelissen.
This music is currently being restructured by Maud Nelissen. Soon more about this.
